Courses will be held on Saturdays at 10.00 am at the St George’s Parish Centre on the following dates:
8th February
29th March
10th May
13th September
15th November
Please allow up to 2 hours for the course.
Parking available in the church car park.
Children, grandparents, and godparents are all welcome.
Please let us know in advance how many will be attending so we can prepare.
If you would like to arrange a Baptism for your child, please contact the Parish Office to book onto a baptism course beforehand.
Available baptism dates will be made available to you at the time of your enquiry, alternatively bring the baptism form with you to the course and a baptism date can be arranged at that time.
Baptism form: please write all details clearly on the form as this information will be used on the certificate and entered into the Baptism Register. All details of any proxy godparents will also be required.
If you are not resident in this parish, you will need to seek permission from your local parish priest for the baptism to take place here at the St George’s Catholic Church/ Our Lady Queen of Peace.
If you wish to speak to Canon John, please let the parish office know in advance, this can be arranged for immediately after the course.
If you are to be a godparent and are required to attend a Baptism course, please also contact the parish office to book a place. There is a fee of £30 pp for this, and a certificate will be issued on completion of the course.
